Agora du Design: support for design research

Call for applications open until February 28, 2025

Since its creation, AGORA DU DESIGN has been dedicated to supporting young design researchers in their projects. The scheme is based on the award of grants, available every two years, enabling the winners to carry out ambitious and innovative research projects. Selected projects benefit from personalized support over a two-year period, with advances highlighted through an exhibition or presentation in emblematic locations in France and Europe.

The project-based research grant

This grant provides the financial, material and relational resources needed to design, develop and carry out a series of practical experiments around a research theme in a design field. The issues explored can cover a wide range of subjects: processes, materials, technologies, public policy, product design, message spaces, services or systems. This grant promotes the exploratory and innovative dimension of design, encouraging critical reflection. AGORA DU DESIGN presents the winners' results at a group exhibition.

The exhibition research grant

This exhibition research grant supports the design of an exhibition or any other form of curation. It provides the financial, material and relational resources needed to design and produce an exhibition on issues related to material culture. It encourages a process of iterative research, through the accompaniment of prize-winners by members of the association, and aims to engage in constructive and critical dialogue with a broad public. Thanks to its partners, AGORA DU DESIGN offers the winners the space and resources they need to mount their exhibition.
