Call for applications - Assistance for the installation or modernization of arts and crafts workshops (AIMA)
As part of her national strategy in favor of art crafts, officially launched on May 31, 2023, the Minister is renewing assistance for the installation of equipment or modernization of art crafts workshops (AIMA) for 2025.
Against a general backdrop of inflation, the French Minister of Culture has decided to create a new scheme to assist the installation and modernization of art craft workshops (AIMA). The aim of this aid is to give priority to very small businesses where one or more professionals practice an art craft, in particular a rare or endangered art craft.
Art crafts are handcrafted manual trades that mobilize traditional, highly technical know-how, often exceptional, associated with historic geographical cradles. The list of 281 métiers d'art, which was set by the decree of December 24, 2015, groups together various fields (glass and crystal, ceramics, showmanship, textiles, instrument making...). This ecosystem is 80% based on independent craftsmen.
Particular attention is paid by the investigating departments to filesrelating to rare crafts (absence of a training course, orphan craft, last manufacturer in France...), remarkable, threatened with extinction, and whose skills of excellence must be safeguarded.
