Call for projects on sustainable and socially responsible food - 2026 edition

Applications open until March 31, 2026

The City of Paris is launching the sixth edition of its call for projects on "sustainable and socially responsible food." The aim is to support projects that seek to make high-quality food affordable for as many people as possible. Applications must be submitted by Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Objectives of the call for projects on "sustainable and socially responsible food"

This call for projects aims to support the networking of shops, restaurants, and sustainable food processing facilities, enabling Parisians to benefit from local products (less than 250 km from Paris) sourced from organic or small-scale farming, respecting the environment, and promoting fair remuneration for producers.

Given the current economic difficulties, the City of Paris wishes to encourage collective efforts to pool and concentrate resources (logistics, communication, HR, product offerings, etc.) in order to consolidate and promote the sustainability of the ecosystem's structures. The City also wishes to contribute to the structuring of sustainable and local agricultural and food sectors by supporting the development of production, processing, and distribution capacities in these sectors.

Who is the call for projects aimed at?

This call for projects aims to support, through operating or investment grants,social and solidarity economy structures developing commercial initiatives promoting sustainable food.

To provide the best possible support for the establishment of these activities, the City of Paris is partnering with the following organizations for this call for projects:

  • GIE Paris-Commerces, responsible for leasing ground floor premises owned by the City of Paris's three social landlords (Paris Habitat, RIVP, and Elogie-SIEMP), which hold 6,800 premises in Paris, representing 10% of Parisian ground floor retail space;
  • the SEM Paris Commerces A semi-public company owned by the City of Paris specializing in the revitalization of local commerce and crafts.

Project leaders who do not yet have premises for their activity are invited to contact them in accordance with the terms specified in the regulations.
