C14 Paris - Contemporary ceramics show
Thursday, October 3 to Sunday, October 6
The contemporary ceramics show, C14, will take place from October 3 to 6, 2024 in the Annexe de la mairie in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
Supported by the City of Paris, this show highlights the work of 32 international artists, whose approach is resolutely focused on contemporary art. This assertive orientation is at the heart of C14's identity, which aims to be a major player in the recognition of ceramists within institutions, galleries and contemporary art collections. Each year, C14 offers valuable visibility to French and international artists and art schools.
The 2024 edition will be marked by the awarding of three prizes:
- The Jury Prize: This prize honors the favorite of the show organizers and jury members.
- The Gallery Prize: The winner will have the opportunity to exhibit his or her work in a solo or group show at a partner gallery during 2025. In the event of a tie, two artists may share this opportunity.
- The Residency Prize: The winner will benefit from an artistic residency in the Bruckner Foundation workshops, to be carried out within 18 months of the prize being awarded, depending on his or her availability and that of the workshops.
A round-table discussion on Friday, October 4, from 6 to 8 pm, will enrich the program by tackling the issue of marketing contemporary ceramics.
With its unwavering commitment to the recognition of ceramists, the C14 show has established itself as a not-to-be-missed event for enthusiasts, collectors and professionals in the contemporary art world.
C14 PARIS is an association under the French law of 1901, dedicated to the promotion of contemporary sculptural ceramics (from volume to mixed-media installation) in France and Europe.
Its organizers aim to unearth new talent to offer them the best conditions for visibility and professional implementation, while at the same time helping to showcase already solid and recognized careers that collectors and institutions will enjoy rediscovering.
C14 PARIS is run by ceramic artists and curators specializing in contemporary ceramics.
