Les Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris 2025 - Vanessa Bruno, president of the fashion jury

Born in France to a Danish mother and Italian father, Vanessa Bruno grew up in the world of fashion. At the age of 25, she founded her eponymous brand and created the Cabas pailleté, which confirmed her status as an icon of Parisian bohemian fashion. Available in a multitude of styles and colors, it is the essential accessory for the free-spirited modern woman. Since then, she has pursued her philosophy of "sophisticated simplicity" to make "easy clothes for difficult women". Her influence extends beyond Paris, with over 380 points of sale in France and around the world.

What do the Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris mean to you?

These awards embody the creative heritage of Paris, so it's an opportunity and a chance for me as president, but above all for the candidates to participate in the creative aura and its influence in fashion. There's also an element of transmission, of revealing and celebrating those who will shape tomorrow's world.

What does this presidency mean to you?

It's an honor and a great responsibility. Being president means taking a benevolent yet demanding look at new talent. It's also a way for me to give back what Paris and fashion have given me: an environment conducive to creativity, made up of encounters and encouragement that help us grow as designers and reveal ourselves.

What do you expect from candidates for the Revelation, Commitment, Fashion Accessories and Jewelry Accessories awards?

I expect candidates to make me feel something - emotion. I expect candidates to show what drives them deeply, to master a skill while combining a singular and sincere creative vision.
