Fascinated by the theme of the imprint and memory, Aurore Thibout has created a collection for women where she appropriates and diverts techniques and materials: garments with skin, bas-relief motifs, delicate moults of the living. A plastic approach to clothing, presenting a long-term research and technical development, where the motif is explored in all its dimensions. Traces, fossilised garments frozen in a fold, memory clothes, memory garments...
Trained at Duperré and the Decorative Arts as well as at Martin Margiela, Aurore Thibout received the City and Public Prize at the 2006 Hyères Festival. She builds a language that she explores through various disciplines: Installations-exhibitions, live shows (Fondation Cartier, Atopos Athens Museum, Théâtre National de Chaillot...) Since 2008, she has been involved in Franco-American Master classes (Art of Fashion Foundation) and presents her collections during the Paris Fashion Week.
