A graduate of the École Boulle and the Beaux-Arts in Milan, Cécile Genovese worked as a chiseller and then as a sculptor before collaborating with major fashion houses such as Dolce&Gabbana and Lanvin. In search of forgotten goldsmithing techniques, she travels from Florence to Jaipur to meet extraordinary craftsmen. Like family souvenirs, the jewels in her collections are full of meaning. Nostalgic and contemporary, her universe resembles the romantic Italian landscapes where vegetation covers the rubble of ancient cities.
