Hubert Jouzeau
Multidisciplinary at heart, Hubert Jouzeau studied applied arts and architecture, and completed his studies at the French Fashion Institute in Paris. After a few years in fashion, he learned the gilding trade at the Bonne Graine school in Paris. Today, he creates works ranging from figurative to the threshold of abstraction. He works with gold in all its forms: acrylic, wax, gold pigments and gold leaf which he manipulates, superimposes and oxidises.
He transforms his marbled papers into marquetry and revisits the Italian-style faux marble for interior decoration.
