After a stint at the Maison Hermès and a residency at the Ateliers de Paris, Théophile Besson won several awards: Carlo Moretti, Musée des Arts et Métiers de Paris, FormicaV, Fondation de France grant.

Noted for his unrestrained writing, Théophile Besson's work builds bridges between Art and Design, going beyond the boundaries of a predefined creative field.

His production intertwines modes and media of expression. The artist is called upon to collaborate with renowned companies:
Domeau & Pérès for an haute couture apron in buffalo skin, Atelier Lognon for a chef's hat in pleated organza, Le Deun Luminaires for a luminous isoloir with LED technology, Akonite for a collection of serving trays in matte carbon fibre, Atelier Caudron for sculptures in inlaid semi-precious stones, Néolice Aubusson-Felletin for tapestry boxes.

During Designer's Days in Paris, Théophile Besson co-signed the bulthaup-étoile stage designs with designer Stéphanie Balini in 2010 and bulthaup-odéon in 2011.
