Call for Applications - 2 Workshops Available at JAD

The JAD (Jardin des métiers d’Art et du Design) is a cultural facility dedicated to fostering dialogue between these two disciplines. Located in Sèvres, in western Paris, the JAD serves as a hub for production, innovation, creation, and promotion.

Managed directly by the Hauts-de-Seine Department’s Culture Division, it offers an environment conducive to experimentation, research, and the transmission of expertise.

The JAD is seeking new residents to join a group of about fifteen professionals already based on the premises.

Set in an inspiring local setting, the JAD has 2 studios available for rent (individual or shared).

Features of the 2 studios available:

• Workshop No. 104, with a floor area of 76 m²
• Workshop No. 105, with a floor area of 78 m²
  Located in the buildings of the former National Ceramics School of Sèvres, which are designated as Historic Monuments, the JAD is:
• A dedicated space covering 2,600 square meters
• About 20 individual and group studios (ranging from 31 to 108 square meters)
• About fifteen resident professionals: master saddler, product designer, weaver, fragrance designer, textile finisher, ceramicist, photograver, textile designer, …
• Reasonable rents and one-year leases renewable four times (maximum occupancy period: 5 years)
• A MakerLab
• Furnished shared workspaces
• Meeting and reception rooms
• A large showroom
• A place for socializing

And a team to support the professionals selected for this new venture

This call is open to all professionals in the fields of arts and crafts and design who are eager to work together on collaborative projects that bring their respective skills together.
