Sustainable Fashion Consultation: How can we encourage people to dress ethically and sustainably?

The Paris Good Fashion association, in partnership with civic tech platform Make.org, is launching its second major citizen consultation. Supported by a collective of major players in the sector, this initiative is taking a key step forward by expanding internationally to France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with the aim of accelerating the sustainable transformation of the fashion industry.
The aim of this initiative is to identify concrete ways to encourage more responsible fashion, while preserving the creative dimension and enjoyment associated with clothing. This new step is a continuation of the actions initiated in 2020, which have led to concrete progress in the sector, such as the rise of second-hand clothing, support for eco-design, and the recycling of logistics materials.
The discussion revolves around one central question: How can we encourage people to dress ethically and sustainably?.
The platform allows users to share proposals and vote on contributions submitted by participants. The ideas that receive the most support from citizens and professionals will guide the collective's future work and action plans, with a view to bringing about lasting change in the sector on a global scale.
To support this project, a collective representing the entire industry is mobilizing: Galeries Lafayette, Etam Group, Eram Group, Karla Otto, Kiabi, Lacoste, Printemps, SMCP, and Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche.
