Les Eclaireurs survey - Measuring the economic weight of craft and exceptional know-how companies
On Tuesday, November 26, theInstitut pour les Savoir-Faire Français unveiled the results of Les Éclaireurs, a ground-breaking survey carried out in partnership with Xerfi Specific, which aims to provide an overall economic vision of the arts and crafts and exceptional know-how landscape, and to measure the technical weight of arts and crafts and exceptional know-how companies.
The results reveal their essential economic contribution, with sales of 68 billion euros in 2023, and nearly half a million employees.
The Bettencourt Schueller Foundation recognized the lack of recent economic data on the artcrafts sector, and asked the Institut pour les Savoir-Faire Français to conduct a study to measure the sector's economic weight. The aim is to provide up-to-the-minute figures, so that the 281 crafts and exceptional skills can be better promoted. The project's initiators: the Institut, the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation and XERFI Specific, were joined by the Comité Colbert, the French Ministry of Culture and Terre & Fils.
