New additions to the collections of the Mobilier national

Since 2020, the Mobilier National has been enriching its collections with pieces by contemporary designers. This year, 45 works will join the collections, including five designed by residents of the Ateliers de Paris.

Since 2020, the Mobilier National has been working to support the crafts and design ecosystem by launching an annual appeal to acquire exceptional pieces from designers and galleries. Some of the works acquired in this way are already on display in emblematic official venues such as the Elysée Palace.

In 2025, the 100th anniversary of the Art Deco style, Mobilier National celebrates the heritage of this iconic movement, while looking resolutely to the future. 45 pieces of furniture - seating, lighting, desks and armchairs - join the national collections. This new acquisition celebrates the work of 41 designers, both established and from the younger generation, embodying the next generation of French design.

Among the designers selected, five have passed through Les Ateliers de Paris, the City of Paris' incubator, which each year hosts and supports some 30 companies in the design, fashion and crafts sectors.
