Eve George is a designer and glassblower in residence at Les Ateliers de Paris since November 2022.

In 2017, she co-foundedAtelier George with Laurent Fichot. Together, they build a glassblowing workshop in Burgundy.

They design and blow glass objects, lighting and tableware in particular. These pieces are organized in "collections", which are sets of objects sharing a common universe, without distinction of typology. These projects allow them to deepen their aesthetic research in a given universe, in a biennial.

Around these collections also gravitate more specific types of objects, such as tiles, clerestories, or door handles.

In 2020, l'Atelier George officially created its design studio, which dedicates its creative universe to projects for third-party brands and publishers. Thus, l'Atelier George will use its artistic direction to design exceptional bottles for spirits(Exsto Cognac, Maison Jacoulot), collections of glass, wood and brass lighting(Magena Suspensions, Editions La Lune), and tableware in motion (Tango, Edition Archik).

True to the philosophy and glass expertise of the duo, these objects are multiples and not series: they are designed for differentiated reproducibility and value the know-how that shapes them.

In 2022, Eve joined Ateliers de Paris in Bastille and continued to develop the Studio's activities. The Atelier signs an iconic bottle for Michel Couvreur Whisky, based on the oak "staves" of the house's former barrels, as well as an exceptional decanter for Ateliers Camus, to be released this year.

L'Atelier has also been entrusted with the creation of a sculptural work for Coca Cola, made by reusing glass bottles, set in a screen that will be displayed in the hotels of the Accor group, in partnership with the brand.

From February to April 2023, Eve flew to New York as a resident of the Villa Albertine. In partnership with Wanted Design and with the support of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, the ambition of this research work was to lay the groundwork for the future collection of the Atelier, influenced by the urban and maritime situation of the city.

During her stay, Eve was invited to the Corning Museum of Glass (NY) to work on the first prototypes and formal intentions in the workshop of this world-renowned glass center. Gastronomy, mixology, contemporary art and interior architecture, these encounters serve the creation of a set of tableware pieces, which continues upon her return to France in dialogue with Laurent Fichot.

"Brume" will be l'Atelier's fourth collection and will be launched by Philia gallery, first in New York, in 2024.

On the occasion of the Biennale Révélations, Eve George will exhibit on the BDMMA's booth, luminaries extracted from the latest Atelier George collection.

"Cime" is a piece of work that takes impressions of plants in molten glass. Shapes emerge from the collection of dry sprigs, frozen by fire in glass blocks. These illuminate, rest or hang. The "Blés" wall lamp sets ears of corn, gathered after the harvest on the outskirts of the studio in Burgundy, in a burnt-wood frame. The "Aubier" table lamp recreates a bundle of opaline white glass, topped with wood impressions, taken by successive glass pours from a stump.
