Florence Moorhead, a Franco-American designer based in Paris, creates jewelry in which
ancient mythologies and contemporary countercultures intersect.
With a degree in art history and English literature, she joined Studio Berçot before taking her first steps in jewelry design at Lanvin, working alongside Alber Elbaz and Elie Top. Her career continued at Marc Jacobs, then at Givenchy with Riccardo Tisci, for whom she designed shoes and jewelry. She then collaborated with Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent, before joining the Jacquemus house from 2018 to 2021, where she designed accessories, jewelry, bags, and shoes. In 2022, she opened a new space dedicated to her own jewelry line, while continuing to lend her talents as an accessories designer to luxury houses suchas Ami Paris, Rabanne, Longchamp, and Carel.

Her inspiration draws on ancient mythologies and cultures, which she blends with contemporary references from emerging artistic movements and queer and feminist countercultures. Her brand identity follows in the footsteps of strong, iconic female figures, evoking
ancestral ties to the magical powers associated with the feminine—from the ancient goddesses of Greek antiquity to the priestesses of Celtic paganism, and medieval witches. Her own Irish-Scottish surname, Moorhead, reflects this symbolic lineage.

Her designs feature bold yet simple pieces that are both organic and sophisticated, blending austerity with elegance and delicacy, volume with lightness. The brand is designed for everyone, regardless of sex, gender, age, or body type, with a clear commitment to creating gender-neutr
, accessible, and sustainable jewelry. The pieces are crafted in collaboration with European artisans within an ethical and responsible ecosystem, combining durability, elegance, and high quality at affordable prices.
Extensive development work was carried out with manufacturers to find the ideal metal alloy for each piece, combining bold proportions with lightness. The jewelry is thus designed to be worn comfortably all day long. For each piece, the metal is carefully selected: sterling silver for rings, which require greater strength; aluminum for very voluminous pieces, to keep them lightweight; and yellow copper for its workability, making it ideal for more technically complex pieces. Each piece of jewelry is designed to be worn in multiple ways, allowing everyone to style it according to their own taste and preferences.

Collaboration: Florence Moorhead X Solène Lescouët
This limited-edition capsule collection is a fusion of two worlds: the brutalist poetry of Florence Moorhead and the theatrical romanticism of Solène Lescouët. These three pieces redefine these legacies through a modern lens, blending contemporary minimalism, Elizabethan grandeur, and punk excess.
A documentary on the creation of this collection, produced and directed by Ces gens-là Production, will be released very soon.
