Sika Viagbo named Master of Art by the Ministry of Culture
The mosaicist Sika Viagbo, creator of the workshop lilikpó resident at Les Ateliers de Paris in 2014, and her student Alix Tramba-Rivat were named Master of Art-Students by the Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak and the INMA on January 24 during the official ceremony of awarding titles. In total, 8 professional craft pairs were distinguished.
Awarded for life by the Ministry of Culture, the title of Master of Art distinguishes passionate craftsmen for the uniqueness of their know-how, their exceptional career and their involvement in the renewal of art crafts. More than a recognition, this title is the symbol of a commitment and a will to transmit. Since 1994, 149 professionals, creative actors or restorers, have been named "Maîtres d'art" and 101 crafts have been honored.
