Visa Paris x Florence - A cross-residency to promote creative exchanges between France and Italy
The Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d'art and ARTEX, Tuscany's Center for Artistic and Traditional Crafts, are launching Visa Paris x Florence, a cross-residency program for young fashion, design and craft professionals. The aim is to encourage mobility, international development and exchanges between the creative ecosystems of Paris and Florence.

The "Visa Paris x Florence" project is part of a shared desire to promote creativity, cultural diversity, business development and dialogue between the creative ecosystems of Paris and Florence, and more specifically the Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d'art de la Ville de Paris and ARTEX, Tuscany's Center for Artistic and Traditional Crafts. It was conceived as a development lever for young professionals in the fashion, design and crafts sectors, wishing to open up their practice to the international arena.
This residency program is based on the principle of exchange: for a period of one month, each of the two cities hosts an emerging professional from the partner city. The aim is to enable participants to discover new markets, immerse themselves in other creative cultures and forge lasting links with local players.
During their stay, each selected professional carries out a personal project in line with their practice and development ambitions: research programme, identification of new know-how, sourcing, prototyping, business development, trend-spotting....
The winners are selected by the Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d'art, ARTEX and in partnership with the Fonds pour les Ateliers de Paris and the Institut Français, following a local call for applications within their ecosystems.
For this first edition, three resident designers from Les Ateliers de Paris were chosen: Élodie Verdan, founder of the accessories brand SHEOSHOE, jewelry designer Florence Moorhead, and cross-disciplinary designer Chloé Valorso.
The program will begin in September 2025 with Florence Moorhead's residency in Florence.
