Edo Tokyo Kirari - 2025

Since 2021, theEdo Tokyo Kirariprogram has been bringing together French designers and Japanese manufacturers every year to reinterpret traditional Japanese craftsmanship. This exhibition showcases the pieces resulting from this unique collaboration between the City of Tokyo and the City of Paris.
Designed byJules Levasseur, it showcases creations by three Parisian designers in collaboration with six Japanese manufacturers, building bridges between tradition and innovation.
These designers will also present a selection of objects designed in their own studios.
Deeply rooted in Japan's cultural and historical heritage, Tokyo's handicrafts (glassmaking, dyeing, textiles, wood) dialogue with designers from the Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d'art network to create new forms and types of objects.
This close collaboration enables Japanese companies to innovate by mobilizing their know-how in new ways, to create objects or textile creations that appeal to the international market.

Tokyo manufacturers for the 2025 edition: Domyo, Glass-Lab, Kimoto Glass Tokyo, Maekawa Inden, Mori Seimenjo, and Lllast.
