The Kyoto Contemporary project enabled some forty Parisian designers to meet with craftsmen from Kyoto for productive exchanges.

This programme brought together designers, but also winners of the Grands Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris and residents of the Ateliers de Paris.

The creations resulting from these exchanges have been exhibited in Tokyo and at the Horikawa Oike Gallery in Kyoto.

The "Creation under influence" exhibition revealed the richness of these dialogues, which are constantly reinvented by the creators who thus maintain the aesthetic, cultural and economic bridge between France and Japan.
