"The Savoir-faire en transmission prize is unexpected, and it feels good to have won it with Esteban" - Esteban Perrier

Esteban Perrier, winner of the 2023 Savoir-faire en transmission awards, is an intern at the Domestique workshop, resident in the La caserne incubator (Paris 10th), alongside leather craftsmen Bastien Beny and Simon Delacour.

Since its creation in 2016, Domestique has opted for handcrafted production exclusively to order, but also for meticulous sourcing in terms of materials, where everything is thought out to be sustainable and environmentally friendly. Production is entirely handmade in Paris, with a low carbon footprint. Each accessory is carefully handcrafted in vegetable-tanned leather, sometimes mineral. Domestique also works on research projects with the Fab Lab by IFTH, also in residence at La Caserne.

The workshop's productions are inspired by the logic of local markets, questioning mass consumption and highlighting its commitments to subcontractors and local manufacturers.

During his internship, Esteban is fully integrated into the workshop's bag production team. Here, he learns all the traditional and innovative manufacturing techniques, such as those provided by the Fab Lab by IFTH.
At the end of his internship, Esteban hopes to become an artisan leatherworker in Paris.

"The internship allows me to deepen the skills I acquired during my Leather Goods CAP, with the opportunity to work full-time in a company".
