"I first heard about the award during my studies. When I graduated, I didn't feel ready to enter the world of work. I wanted to perfect my embroidery skills, and this prize seemed an excellent alternative." - Flavie Ledoux

Flavie Ledoux, winner of the 2024 Savoir-faire en transmission awards, is an intern with Cyrielle Leclère, founder and creative director of P+L Studio. Flavie completed a double apprenticeship in tapestry, textile arts and materials, specializing in embroidery. Before applying for the Prix Savoir-faire en transmission, she completed a two-month internship at the studio.

Led by Cyrielle Leclère, the studio develops an aesthetic universe that aims to infuse its creations with a poetic imagination. The studio explores various changes of scale, from micro embroidery to macro embroidery and textile sculpture, constantly enriching its research. These experiments make the studio a veritable laboratory of ornamental prospective.

"The studio fits well with the context of application that I liked, interior design."

During her internship, Flavie creates numerous samples to meet the demands of the studio's customers. This enables her to better understand their expectations by adopting their point of view, while bringing the studio's creativity and know-how to bear.

Following this award, Flavie would like to offer her services in the development and creation of samples, as well as in the prospection of materials within embroidery workshops. She also plans to work as a creative assistant to an artisan to further develop her skills. Eventually, Flavie plans to develop her own workshop specializing in decorative panels for interior architecture, combining her skills as an embroiderer and weaver.
