The "Visa Paris x Florence" project is part of a shared desire to promote creativity, cultural diversity, commercial development, and dialogue between the creative ecosystems of Paris and Florence, and more specifically between the City of Paris'sOffice of Design, Fashion, and Crafts andARTEX, the Center for Artistic and Traditional Crafts of Tuscany. It was conceived as a lever for development for young professionals in the fashion, design, and crafts sectors who wish to expand their practice internationally.

This residency program is based on the principle of exchange: for a period of one month, each of the two cities hosts an emerging professional from the partner city. The aim is to enable participants to discover new markets, immerse themselves in other creative cultures and forge lasting links with local players.

During their stay, each selected professional carries out a personal project in line with their practice and development ambitions: research programme, identification of new know-how, sourcing, prototyping, business development, trend-spotting....

The winners are selected by the Bureau du Design, de la Mode et des Métiers d'art, ARTEX and in partnership with the Fonds pour les Ateliers de Paris and the Institut Français, following a local call for applications within their ecosystems.

The 2025 edition enabled three female designers in residence at Les Ateliers de Paris to travel to Florence: Élodie Verdan, founder of the accessories brand SHEOSHOE, Florence Moorhead, jewelry designer, and Chloé Valorso, transdisciplinary designer.
