Gabrielle grew up between the lagoon, the bush and the banyan trees in the South Pacific. These early years in the heart of nature and a strong tribal culture have deeply attached her to the essential values that link man to his natural environment.
After studying at Esmod Paris, then at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, she assisted the designer Sakina M'Sa in her workshop at the goutte d'or. There she developed the desire to create pieces with a strong identity and meaning, and linked her textile creations to a contemporary artistic approach.
Nostalgic for distant cultures, Gabrielle leaves to work as a stylist in Rio de Janeiro. She then decided to become personally involved in creative and responsible fashion.
Back in France, she created the "Praça XV" collection, inspired by Brazil and the legacy of slavery. These pieces will receive the special mention of the jury of the Dinard International Festival in May 2008.
In order to share her universe with the general public, she created in January 2009 the artistic brand Ambrym.
Since spring 2010, Marion Jaubert, after studying at Esmod and 3 years as an assistant designer at Inès de la Fressange, has joined Gabrielle to consolidate and grow Ambrym.
