Textile designer, passionate about research and creation, Charlotte Kaufmann questions the material in a transversal and multidisciplinary way: weaving, embroidery, bobbin lace, tuft, ceramics.... Trained at the ENSCI-Les Ateliers in object design, then at the Ecole Duperré in weaving, she places at the heart of her practice, the workshop, a field of experimentation, and the gesture of the craftsman.

Shifting the use of a technique, moving a material out of its original field of application or working with it on a new scale, are the foundations of his research dynamic.

Fashion accessories and textiles for furnishing are his favourite areas.
