Sophie Dalla Rosa

Sophie Dalla Rosa is a "knitter". A graduate of the Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg, she uses all the possibilities and techniques of knitting to create sculptural objects with enigmatic shapes. The act of knitting is done around pebbles or strands of wool, and her creations are called "little nothings", "parasites", or "curiosities". These coloured proposals then take over various natural or urban places and give a new interpretation of these spaces. At the same time, she is developing a line of objects, accessories and jewellery, where knitwear is worn and lived close to the body.

Sophie Dalla Rosa won the Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in 2007 in the beginner category.
