Launched in 2020 by Luca Colosimo, 10.03.53 is a creative laboratory and leather goods brand, in residence at Les Ateliers de Paris since September 2021.

By merging craftsmanship, technique and innovative materials, the brand offers contemporary bag lines inspired by the leather goods tradition. Like a manifesto, the brand is committed to :

TO SEEK THE BEAUTY FAR FROM THE ORNAMENT

Through an aesthetic that stems from a technical and functional reflection, all that is superfluous, ostentatious and decorative is eliminated to make room for a timeless sobriety.
Beauty, which is not the only goal, is for the brand the result of a symphony of proportions and volumes. 

BE INSPIRED BY THE HUMAN BODY AND ITS ARCHITECTURE

The 10.03.53 bag, a design object, seduces without shouting, inspired by the organic and mechanical perfection of the human body.
Over time it becomes an endearing and cherished companion of our daily lives. Personalized, practical and designed to last, it is shaped by a dynamic lifestyle.

ADVOCATE TRADITION AND KNOW-HOW IN THE SERVICE OF CREATIVITY

Halfway between designers and artisans, the team creates all the prototypes and part of the production in Paris. The designs are the result of empirical iterations supported by a technical knowledge of leather goods. The gestures of their hands feed their creativity.

PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF LEATHER GOODS

Innovation at 10.03.53 is above all a matter of materials. Reinforced concrete is combined with the finest vegetable-tanned leather, while a sheet of paper treated to be tearproof and waterproof is disguised as a rigid leather bag.
Innovative materials of industrial inspiration thus appropriate the codes of the most traditional leather goods. The detour of these standards as well as the technical challenges which result from it animate the creative life of the studio.

TO DEFEND A FLUID SOCIETY

The products are designed to be gender-neutral and used in an urban and changing context. The provocative connotation of the term unisex in the 80s and 90s, more a political manifesto than a true indicator of change, is replaced by the symbol of a fluid society. An open and less stigmatizing world characterized by an absence of predefined rules where codes are mixed.

Today the brand has about 25 retailers worldwide, a powerful website and is preparing to open its shop/workshop in Paris in June 2023 by offering a new line of made in France and upcycled products.
