Resident profile - Apolline Morel-Lab

After studying at Hear, where she specialized in glasswork, and a master's degree at Ecal in luxury design and craftsmanship, Apolline Morel-Lab became a decorator in an interior design agency. She created her eponymous design studio in 2024 and joined Les Ateliers de Paris the same year. Here, she explores the materiality of pâte de verre, playing with thickness and transparency. Her work is characterized by a sculptural approach to materials, halfway between design and craft.

The studio offers lighting fixtures and creations to architects and interior designers, and works in parallel with galleries specializing in collectible design. In 2025, one of its lamps joined the collections of the Mobilier National, marking recognition of its work on light and materials.

For Milan Design Week, Apolline presents several creations at LABÒ that explore light as a living, vibrant and changing material. These creations - from the Agate rug to the Citrine, Bronze and Blue Violet lamps and the Pale Amber Gold mirror - reveal a dialogue between glass, light and space.

Apolline will take part in the new exhibition at the RoomsService Gallery during PAD Paris.
