Resident profile - Clémence Althabegoïty
Resident at Les Ateliers de Paris, Clémence Althabegoïty is a designer and visual artist who, through a hybrid approach blending design, art and science, collaborates with scientific institutes to design installations and sensitive objects exploring the interactions between silence, water, air and matter in order to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Clémence Althabegoïty is a resident designer and visual artist at Les Ateliers de Paris. She graduated from the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths (University of London) in 2019, theÉcole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2018 and the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2016.
Her practice is a hybridization of design, art and science. In collaboration with scientific institutes such as the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Observatoire de Paris and BruitParif, she is interested in silence, water and air, and their interactions with matter. Based on contextual analysis and material research, she designs objects, installations and scenographies. Her practice seeks to create alternative solutions, raise awareness and think critically about issues such as rising temperatures, pollution (noise, air and soil) and water scarcity. By applying the unique properties of materials, each project becomes an opportunity to explore new mediums and create site-specific works.
