NéoPaléo, A design time capsule

- Type of event Exhibition
- Date 04.09 > 30.10.2025
For Paris Design Week 2025, design duo BehaghelFoiny (Antoine Behaghel & Alexis Foiny) are invited to take over the Galerie des Ateliers in Paris.
The NéoPaléo exhibition, curated by the design duo BehaghelFoiny-Antoine Behaghel & Alexis Foiny, aims to write a history of design between past, present and future, by bringing together the creations of some fifteen designers.
The history of techniques has been built on a gradual evolution from manual labor to the use of increasingly sophisticated tools and machines. In contrast to this trajectory, the NéoPaléo exhibition presents a landscape of contemporary design practices that engage directly with the material, reintegrating the spontaneity of the hand into the way it is shaped, while taking their place in today's material and technological environment
. Within the NéoPaléo time capsule, heterogeneous approaches are combined, where gestures mobilize both ancestral know-how and digital processes, manufactured or living elements: glass and wood are cut like flint; industrial materials are blown or melted; plant fragments and electronic elements are scanned or agglomerated; or natural fibers and fungal micro-organisms are woven and printed.
Through these hybridizations, the NéoPaléo exhibition can be understood as an experimental laboratory for the present. It puts into perspective the desire of these creators to emancipate themselves from the conventional forms of object design to propose new aesthetics.
