" For us, technique is everything. We study it and either enhance it, modify it or break away from it," say Sacha and Valentine, who met at ENSCI-Les Ateliers. Their Décor par le Sable, which perfectly illustrates this approach, was awarded the Grand Prix du Jury at the Hyères Design Parade in 2024. And over the course of a year, they consolidated this approach to design through various residencies. At the Manufacture de Sèvres, they developed a porcelain stained-glass window made from decommissioned materials, using existing processes as well as innovative protocols they had perfected.

Our work combines design and craftsmanship," explains Valentine, who discovered handicrafts in India and, on her return, joined Les Compagnons du Tour de France to train as a staff member. Our approach is based on different layers. There's the question of tools to generate shapes and volumes, but also that of heritage, of how to create a language. " With a wealth of experience under their belts, they were keen to enter their all-round profile for the award.
" It was important for us to show the range and diversity of our creations," insists Sacha, who came through the Bouroullec studio. For us, winning awards from renowned professionals is proof that we're moving in the right direction. The prize is a validation, but also the opportunity to move towards a more autonomous operation with the manufacturers and in our workshop.
