Samuel Tomatis graduated in 2016 from ENSCI-Les Ateliers with honours. Ambassador of a work on algae in the world of contemporary design, he won the Agora grant for design in 2017. The young designer has a close relationship with science and ecology. His work oscillates between industrial design and ephemeral architecture. Seduced by the sea and the phenomenon of the tides, his research revolves around the universe of maritime resources, and more particularly seaweed. Samuel collaborates with various trades, including scientists and craftsmen. Experimentation, working with materials and eco-design are at the heart of his approach.
