Titema - Customizable mode
Mareva Razafintsalama is the founder of Titema, a Parisian brand of customizable clothing designed to last and labeled "Made in Paris". In her workshop in the 6th arrondissement, the designer combines elegance and innovation while celebrating her Polynesian and Madagascan origins.
Mareva, who first worked in finance, has always been driven by creativity: " I love testing apps, creating music, making furniture. I have a thousand project ideas a minute ", she recounts. After obtaining individual training leave, she devoted herself to designing a model based on online customizable clothing. " I thought it was a pity that a service like this, and a short circuit at that, wasn't available in France," she explains.

However, the first challenges were many: " The early days were difficult, especially for prototyping, where there was a succession of service providers for two years! But an entrepreneur needs to adapt and remain curious. Mareva decided to teach herself how to use model-making software. She also learned how to use tax incentives, such as the training tax credit, which are often overlooked but essential for small businesses. However, she makes no secret of the difficulties of a sustainable, local model:
" People have been used to cheap clothes. They don't always realize that made in Paris has a cost. "

Today, the designer has succeeded in offering made-to-order garments that can be customized: collar, sleeve length, fabrics... Far from following trends, she favors timeless cuts and draws her inspiration from her Polynesian and Madagascan origins, recalled by the colorful fabrics and the selection of accessories in raffia or zebu horn. Scraps of fabric are valorized in the form of accessories, such as phone pouches or scrunchies.
" I'm not looking to reinvent fashion, but to propose a different way of consuming it. I'm committed to taking the sustainable model to its logical conclusion," she asserts.

The "Fabriqué à Paris" label enables Mareva to combine its values and its attachment to Paris, while promoting its creations. " Local artisans and designers face difficulties that can quickly become discouraging. The label is a precious recognition that enhances the value of our work and motivates me to pursue my commitment."
