Kitesy Martin Studio
Before launching her brand in 2018, Kitesy Martin had never worked in the jewelry world. After graduating from ENSAAMA and the Arts Décoratifs de Paris (ENSAD), she worked for many years as a clothing and accessories designer for major brands such as Lacoste, Balmain, Balenciaga, Vuitton... It was within these structures that she became interested in all the supplies, charms, chains... unused or even forgotten. " It was from these that I built
my brand: I wanted to create with what already existed. Of course, since then, I've evolved, since joining Les Ateliers de Paris enabled me to take the time to experiment with other avenues. But that DNA is still there, particularly with carabiners, which we combine in surprising ways with crystal or cords. I love imagining unexpected combinations and finding new balances.
For the forty-something, the prize is a magnificent recognition, a validation of her work by the creative community and an encouragement.
" It reinforces a fine dynamic. In fact, we're moving into new premises near Place Léon Blum in Paris, and since this year we've been able to move into series production by buying back dormant stock from suppliers and no longer making do with vintage pieces found in private homes. Our latest collection has already won over a number of department store buyers around the world, and we're awaiting confirmation. - Kitesy Martin
No doubt about it, for Kitesy Martin, all the stars are aligning.
