Lily Alcaraz and Léa Berlier have created a woven braid with paper fringes that follows the curves of the plane. The small bunches of paper threads, painted with a brush, are then inserted one by one during the weaving of cotton threads.

Lily Alcaraz and Léa Berlier are textile designers, graduates of the Duperré school and the ENSCI-Les Ateliers. In 2009, they founded their textile design studio and weaving workshop in Paris.

They imagine unique pieces made by hand on their looms. Their work of research and experimentation allows them to develop a singular graphic style where painted motifs and cut-out materials are recomposed by the weaving.

They offer architects, decorators and luxury brands the creation of tailor-made works that meet the specific requirements of their projects. They have created weavings for Shang Xia - Hermès, Rodolphe Parente and the Great Design Gallery.
