Since 2014, Wendy AndreuWendy Andreu, a designer, has been developing a textile that is neither woven nor knitted but glued. It is a composite material made of cotton and silicone. For the plan, she used scraps from the warping machine of the Basque linen factory Lartigue 1910, in order to give value back to these scraps.

Wendy Andreu graduated with honours from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. She is a designer who is fascinated by materials and their processing techniques.

By experimenting with these materials, whatever they may be, she makes unexpected discoveries that translate into rational and relevant design proposals. Thanks to her experience in craft skills, she can execute or have executed any idea she imagines to test its potential.

She particularly considers the relationship between matter, people and space. In her research, the context is as important as the concept. She currently works in the 19th arrondissement of Paris where she develops experimental personal pieces as well as projects commissioned by architects, institutions, brands, industries...
