High Temperature - Design luminaires
Founded by designer Elsa Pochat and ceramist Lou DervieuxHaute Température is a lighting brand that ingeniously combines craftsmanship and innovation. With the " 120 grammes " collection, labelled "Fabriqué à Paris Fabriqué à Paris " label, the designers sublimate packaging by transforming it into bold, luminous pieces.
A graduate ofEnsAD, Lou explores our relationship with everyday objects, hijacking ordinary packaging and transforming it into delicate ceramic vases. Through this socio-critical approach, the designer aims to question the function and perception of objects. As for Elsa, she develops a minimalist, functional style, advocating lighting as a means of achieving aesthetic purity. Seduced by Lou's vision, Elsa spontaneously offered to transform her castings into lighting fixtures, illuminating the reflection initiated by the ceramist. Each piece, made in a short circuit in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, is unique and reflects the originality of the duo.

Initially intended as a temporary exhibition, the collaboration was so successful that the designers decided to perpetuate it under the Haute Température banner. " This brand is above all a collaboration with Lou, but it's also the development of my own work. I don't impose a framework on myself," explains Elsa. At the same time, the designer is pursuing her research into porcelain, which she works like a fabric, imagining its marks and grooves. She also designs 3D-printed lighting fixtures using a mixture of wheat and recycled plastic. This innovative material, naturally golden, offers unique tones when the light shines through it.

This quest for innovation and taste for experimentation are at the heart of Elsa's career. A graduate of theEcole Camondo, she joined the design department of Norman Foster's London studio, where she familiarized herself with software and 3D printers. " It was like starting school all over again," she confides. Back in Paris, she joined Wilmotte & Associés before moving on to the Ateliers de Paris incubator, a key step in the development of her studio. Today, the designer is based in the Cité des Taillandiers (11th arrondissement), home to a rich community of Parisian artisans:
" It's a source of pride and good fortune for me to be in Paris, to have access to such a space in the heart of this artisanal district."
This local anchoring is reflected in the way Elsa conceives her work: "By working locally rather than focusing on distant markets, we can make a difference", Elsa emphasizes. Committed to the City of Paris' Pacte Paris Action Climat Biodiversité (Paris Climate Action Biodiversity Pact), the designers wanted to include their "120 grammes" collection in the "Made in Paris" label.
