Tony Jouanneau is passionate about his work. A product designer who graduated from ESAD Orléans, trained in textile finishing in Tzuri Gueta's workshop and, in 2016, joined ENSCI-Les Ateliers as part of a course on eco-design, biodesign and bio-manufacturing, he is thus in many fields to research, create and pass on. These are, in fact, the three axes of activity of her Atelier Sumbiosis
, which officially saw the light of day in 2018.

A name, no doubt, inspired by her favorite research area of
: the phenomenon of symbiosis in living things. " As soon as I graduated from ENSCI, my advances were very well received," explains the 39-year-old creative researcher. This has led to a number of partnerships: I'm working with Marie Albéric at Sorbonne University on textile dyes derived from the skeletons and spines of a certain species of invasive sea urchin, and I did a residency in Japan at Villa Kujoyama, where I brought together crafts and innovation. Through a collaboration with artisan Harumi Sugiura, I also combine vegetable coloring with pleating..."explains Tony, who has many other projects in the pipeline, including the creation of a sustainable material library.

" Research is all about finding funding! This Prize and its endowment will enable me to carry out projects such as the purchase of a special vat made in Turkey to develop a collection of objects using the ancestral technique of marbling, usually used for paper and book restoration. - Tony Jouanneau
